Carterton Christmas Parade 2012
Carterton businesses and community groups were out in force this Saturday for the annual Christmas parade. With line-up on Wakelin Street from around 11am, the decorated floats and trucks were assembled for pre-parade judging.
A turn-out of around 40 floats provided a more-than-respectable show for the local town. The streets were lined with children and adults alike, eager to cheer on the show and spot familiar faces; albeit faces made up with seasonal colours and a little tinsel!
The Carterton Christmas parade marks the beginning of the festive season in our little town. With late night shopping on Thursdays and pop-up shops providing a selection of festive gifts for all, Christmas cheer has truly arrived!
