Wings Over Wairarapa & the Future
Growth and positivity in Wairarapa was clearly visible in this weekend at the Wings Over Wairarapa air-show in Masterton. Traffic swelled on State Highway 2 as tourists, in particular Wellingtonians, flocked to see the spectacle. Visitors even flew from as far afield as Finland, the UK and Australia!
And Wings Over Wairarapa is but one reason to visit the region. In the past, many visitors to New Zealand (and Kiwis alike) heading North would choose SH1 for their journey, bypassing our beautiful home completely. But with more events, attractions and businesses springing up in Wairarapa, we are seeing more and more guests and tourists visiting the region.
The Wairarapa is truly a stunning region and can offer so much to the visitor. We simply have to promote it and let others see why we choose to live here; if we can get that message across, then we're winning!
Wairarapa has a strong community and business network; word of mouth ensures locals know the latest on-goings. However, to get that message out to other regions - or countries - it's important to ensure your business can be found online.
