Windows XP Upgrades for NZ Business

With Microsoft no-longer planning updates, security or ongoing support for Windows XP, businesses need to plan for their transition to Windows 7 or Windows 8.

Many New Zealand businesses have used and relied upon Windows XP for almost 12 years since its introduction to the PC marketplace. Now, with newer, more secure and better user-experiences available on Windows 7, 8 and Apple OS, it's time to say "good night, XP".

So what does this mean for you? It's time to choose a system for your business and implement it... but is it that simple? The key things that may be problematic and important to consider are the customisations that your system might have in place.

And software ... all that software that you may have bought in the past for accounting, publications and so-on.. can you transfer it from XP to Windows 7 or 8? Probably not.
